Funding for regional projects announced

The Federal Government has announced funding for 330 new regional infrastructure projects and community initiatives, as part of a $204.3 million investment under Round 3 of the Building Better Regions Fund (BBRF).
Announcing the outcome of the funding round, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Infrastructure, Transport and Regional Development Michael McCormack said the projects will help build local economies and drive job creation, with more than 13,000 jobs to be supported throughout regional Australia.
Round 3 provided funding in two streams – infrastructure projects and community investments.
