The Western Australian Local Government Association (WALGA) has launched its new online platform to connect community with places of interest, lifestyle activities and to introduce key Council representatives.
The YourEveryday.com.au platform was jointly launched by the State Local Government David Templeman and WALGA’s President Cr Lynne Craige, and will include key information and contact details for all WA councils.
“The quality and fantastic breadth of content is outstanding and will help promote tourism, lifestyle factors and the benefits of being on Council,” Mr Templeman said.
Cr Craigie said YourEveryday.com.au was developed to help build community awareness and understanding of the great diversity able to be accessed within the State.
“Local Government is the one sector of government that is already an everyday part of people’s lives but we wanted to ensure that the community realised there was so much more than just roads and rubbish,” Cr Craigie said.
“The content on the site showcases local tourist attractions, provides advice on lifestyle activities and introduces the community to key Council representatives.
“Every corner of WA has experiences just waiting to be accessed and this site aims to ensure that as many people as possible are aware what is available.”
The YourEveryday.com.au website is intended to be regularly updated with new videos from around the State and will be supported by digital and social media campaigns.
