National Water Infrastructure funding round open
State and territory governments have been invited to apply for a share of $72 million in water infrastructure funding for drought-affected regions under the National Water Infrastructure Development Fund’s special drought round.
The drought round was first announced in August 2018 under the capital component of the National Water Infrastructure Development Fund as a part of the Government’s $1.8 billion drought package.
Funding under the Drought Round will be provided for the construction of permanent water infrastructure projects that will increase long term water availability and security for primary producers, businesses and communities in drought affected regions. Only permanent water infrastructure projects ready to progress to construction will be considered.
Applications will close at 3pm AEDT on 11 December 2018.
Information, guidelines and related forms for the National Water Infrastructure Development Fund are available on the Department of Infrastructure, Regional Development and Cities website.
